Itinerary
Here is some food for thought – no trip to any part of China is complete without a culinary experience and this is most true for Hong Kong. On the doorstep to China and one of the world’s great urban experiences, Hong Kong is a gastronomes dream. While there are restaurants representing the many and varied cooking styles of China, Cantonese remains the finest food experience. Take part in a hands-on lesson in the finer arts of Cantonese cuisine led by a local master chef. More than a “cooking class” your chef instructor will deconstruct the dish and carefully explain what ingredients, where they come from and why they are used. With that knowledge in hand it is off to a local market to source your ingredients and then back to the class and time to jump into the fray putting together a lunch to remember.
Cooking to the Chinese, like it is to the French, is one of the great arts of living – as Confucius wrote, “eat, drink, man, woman” these are the essentials of life!
