Day 1 - Welcome to Morocco!

Today your flight arrives into Casablanca.  After clearing customs and immigration procedures, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Casablanca, whose name evokes good living, romance and adventure in a tropical setting, is an image that the 1943 Humphrey Bogart film conveyed to cinema-goers in the drab years of WWII.  Originally settled by Berbers in the 7th century, Casablanca’s fairly recent growth has made it the bustling, French-influenced business centre of Morocco it is today.

Enjoy the evening at leisure and relax after your flight.

Day 2 - Discover Casablanca and travel to Fez

This morning’s sightseeing begins with an excursion around the port city of Casablanca, Morocco’s largest metropolis and its industrial hub. 

During your tour you will visit the Hassan II Grand Mosque. The mosque is amongst the largest in the world and can house as many as 25,000 worshipers. The mosque’s minaret is the tallest religious structure in the world. Built on reclaimed land, almost half of the surface of the mosque lies over the Atlantic water. This was inspired by the verse of the Qur'an that states "the throne of God was built on the water". Visit the Habbous quarter and also some other parts of the city. 

Then continue your journey to the cultural capital, Fez. 

After your arrival check in at your hotel and relax.

Day 3 - Fez: Moroccan Bread Making & Drum Design

This morning, you will prepare some traditional Moroccan bread. During your tour of Fez, you will bring this bread to the communal bakery and have it cooked for lunch. 

Then take a step back in time to the Middle Ages when you are immersed in one of the most imperial, timeless and untouched cities in the world - Fez El Bali (Old Fez) – the cultural heart of Morocco. 

You will explore some of the 9000 narrow lanes, alleys and souks that make-up the labyrinth of the city’s old quarter, originally founded in the 8th Century AD by Moulay Idriss I. The Imperial capital was a renowned centre of medieval learning and at its heart still remains the Karaouine, one of the oldest, still functioning universities in the world. In the neighbouring building is the Attarine Medersa (Koranic college), a jewel of Hispano-Moorish architecture, built in the 14th Century. 
Lunch will be served in a traditional riad and you will be able to delight in the bread that you prepared this morning.

In the afternoon, you and your little ones will roll up your sleeves to make your own drum. 

In the Medina under the guidelines of a master artisan learn all the steps of how to design your own drum. First choose an unfinished earthenware tom tom drum and then head to the leather worker to select your hide, whether it be camel, goat or fish, it depends on the sound you want it to produce. Your little ones will also have the opportunity to decorate it. 

Afterwards, during a drumming session test your skills as a Moroccan musician. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 4 - Fez – Rabat via Meknes and Volubilis

After breakfast, you depart overland to Volubilis, home to the largest and most well preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. With its Triumphal Arches, Basilicas and Capitols, the Volubilis skyline is peppered with examples of Roman architecture. 

However, the greatest treasures of Volubilis are the superb mosaic floors, which have been excellently preserved and left in situ. 

From here it is on to Meknes , one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco. In Meknes, the impressive monuments recall the splendor of a city, first built in the 17th Century by the powerful sultan Moulay Ismail, to rival the court of his contemporary Louis XIV of France. 

During your visit to Meknes you will see the monumental Bab Mansour gateway - considered one of the finest of the great gates of Morocco. You will also see Moulay Ismail’s Mausoleum, one of the few shrines in Morocco that can be visited by non-Muslims. 

After the visit, head to the capital of Morocco, the imperial Rabat. Upon your arrival check in at your hotel and relax.

Day 5 - Rabat – Marrakech

This morning, you embark on a city tour which highlights Rabat’s cultural influences and the superbly preserved relics of its Moorish past. 

Rabat’s most famous site is the 12th Century Hassan Tower. Located alongside it is the mausoleum dedicated to Mohamed V, the founder of modern Morocco and grandfather of the current king. 

You will also pay a visit to the Oudaya Kasbah, which is built on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Its gate is one of the most beautiful surviving in the Moorish world. 

Beyond the city walls are the remains of the ancient city of Sala, also known as Chella. 

Your journey then continues overland to Marrakech the “Pearl of the South”. Marrakech welcomes you to a thrilling, exciting, pulsating atmosphere and takes you on a fascinating journey. 

Upon your arrival and after check in at your hotel, take a short tour by horse and carriage for an overview of the city.

Day 6 - Discover the wonders of Marrakech

This morning, you set out to discover the secrets of Marrakech, the most famous city in Morocco. 
Most of the city’s architectural attractions are inside the Medina, the old walled section of the town. Today’s highlights include the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia minaret.

Then explore the Medina and the souks on a treasure hunt. With a small amount of money and some clues the children will buy a selection of items which will be used for the afternoon activities. From belly dancer outfits to the decorated glasses for Moroccan tea, passing by the special parchment for calligraphy. 

After lunch, take the opportunity to try some workshops in a riad. You can choose from several options:
- Belly dancing 
- Calligraphy 
- Henna 
- Moroccan tea ceremony 

Finish your journey exploring Djemaa El Fna, the city’s main square famous for its orange juice stalls. The square is the beating heart of Marrakech, where fire-eaters, mime artists, snake-charmers and street musicians perform at every turn.

Day 7 - Fun day activities in the Atlas Mountains

This morning, depart to explore the amazing Atlas Mountains and challenge yourself in an activity park, designed so that both young and old alike can enjoy a fun adventure.

• Quiz on Morocco
• Mule, camel or pony ride to be just like a Berber cowboy 
• Berber bowling 
• Archery 

Lunch can be enjoyed onsite. After the activities take the road back to Marrakech.

Day 8 - Learn to cook your Tajine

In the morning depart for a local farm located in the surroundings of Marrakech for a Mini Master Chef Party.

In a cozy and casual atmosphere, Chef Tarek welcomes his guests under a Berber tent adorned with carpets and cushions, nestled in organic gardens. Your discovery of Moroccan cuisine begins with a tour of the vegetable gardens, where you gather the ingredients for your meal. Step by step, mix all of the ingredients together to cook a tasteful Moroccan salad and sweet and sour tagine under the guidance of the chef who will share with you all of his knowledge and tips. After lunch return to Marrakech for an afternoon at leisure or for a final tour of Marrakech.

Day 9 - Departure

Today you bid farewell to Morocco as you depart for the airport where your international departure flight awaits.
