About Akorn Peru
Akorn Peru, the first of five Akorn offices in South America, was founded in 2000 by long standing Akorn team, member Mark Wheeler and is now overseen by Rodrigo Custodio; an old hand in Peruvian Tourism with extensive knowledge of the lesser known regions of the country and a passions for conservation and philanthropy. Since opening, Akorn Peru has grown to have over 25 full-time, multilingual staff in our Lima office (including two Europeans) and five in our operations office in Cusco. All share a wealth of experience in Peruvian tourism, as well as a passion for creating unforgettable experiences for our clients.
The size of our team means that we are big enough to handle the largest of operations, such as congresses, incentives and cruise operations, but we are also small enough to offer a specialised, tailor-made and personal service without losing sight of the finer details. We are constantly looking for ways to offer innovative products to improve the client experience – be it through our Guardian Angel program in Cusco, or accessing unique local personalities and experts who are not usually available to tourists. We were proud to be chosen by the Peruvian government as the operator of two Latin American Heads of State Summits, so are used to dealing with VIPs and count 11 presidents, five vice presidents and eight first ladies amongst our past travelers.
