Tintswalo Atlantic

Cape Town

Hotel overview

Perched above a pebbled beach at the foot of Chapman’s Peak, and overlooking the Cape’s iconic Sentinel mountain, Tintswalo Atlantic sits sheltered by the Table Mountain National Park. As the only hotel permitted to operate within the boundaries of the word-renowned Heritage site, the lodge enjoys the very best of magnificent and panoramic ocean views.

With ten beautifully appointed suites and one regal presidential suite – all of which have been freshly re-furbished from floor to ceiling – Tintswalo Atlantic offers the luxuries of a world-class hotel, with personalized service and attention to detail. Managed by a host of dedicated staff, Tintswalo Atlantic offers guests nothing less than true Tintswalo hospitality, from the moment that they arrive at this seaside paradise.

Types of Rooms

Robben Island Suite: Pays tribute to the esteemed Mr. Mandela who was imprisoned there for nearly 24 years. It provides a quirky and yet very real reminder to those who wish to reflect on South Africa's transition.

Ithaca Island Suite: The Greek island representing Greece and Grecian style - very crisp with blues and indigos offset with whites, creams and natural organic textures.

Lamu Island Suite: A Swahilian island just off the east coast of Africa, was formerly a penal colony. It has special memories for the owners who have visited it. It showcases the fun, natural and organic elements that typify this stretch of coastline.

Sicily Island Suite: Is the famous Italian island - it's a little "on the side", and not part of the mainstream of European playgrounds - rather like the continent of Africa. The suite is formal and pays tribute to Italian style.

Saint Marie Island Suite: A beautiful island off Madagascar, it is the only suite not decorated in any shade of blue - it is striking for its extended use of glass and light. It is the most feminine suite of the collection.

Cousine Island Suite: A Seychelles island - famous primarily due to its complete privacy, and the fact that it is a sanctuary to the most beautiful species of shells, fish and marine life in the region. The aqua colours are reminiscent of the beautiful colour of the sea in and around its coral reefs.

Java Island Suite: Java Island is an Indonesian paradise, situated between Sumatra and Bali. The most populous island in Indonesia, Java is a hive of culture and activity, and home to the bustling, modern city of Jakarta.

Antigua Island Suite: A Caribbean "shabby-chic", mainly blues but with exotic accents of pinks and yellows - this suite will appeal to those who have a sense of fun. A true Caribbean feel with bright colours of blue and yellow.

Princess Island Suite: There are a total of nine islands in the Sea of Marmara not far from the city of Istanbul, known as the Princess Islands. Here the Byzantine influence is evident, use of terracotta and clay colours evoke a warm, yet fresh ambience.

Zanzibar Island Suite: One of Africa's most lovely and most popular East African island destinations - it has a vibrant, historical identity and a love of colour which we felt could not be ignored.

Luxury 2-Bedroom Suite: This comprises two Island Suites (Elba and Corsica) joined by a spacious common living area. The suite, luxuriously finished and uniquely decorated in classic Atlantic style, provides a private refuge and exclusive accommodation for up to four guests at a time.
