Itinerary

Day 1 - Paris

Upon arrival at Paris airport you are welcomed to France by your local Guardian Angel as you exit customs into the arrivals hall, and transferred to your hotel where you are assisted with check-in procedures.

A lunch reservation is made for you at the Jules Verne restaurant (lunch payable directly). Classic French cuisine with chic and professional service is offered in this restaurant.

This afternoon enjoy a special visit to the Opera de Paris, which has been housed in Garnier Palace since its completion by architect Garnier in 1875 on the orders of Napoleon III. The beauty of the Opera Garnier, with its marble Grand Staircase, its gold and mosaics, the magnificent painted ceiling of the Grand Foyer, the immense crystal chandelier (weighing 8 tons) and Marc Chagall’s ceiling of the Italian-style Auditorium are renowned all over the world. Your privately-guided visit takes you through the famous public spaces – an hour and a half of insider anecdotes and history, detailing the artistic and social highlights of the era. After your tour you are transferred back to your hotel.

Day 2 - Paris

Immerse your senses in the best gastronomic delights that Paris has to offer during a three-hour walking tour. Meet up with a local food enthusiast and explore some of the finest creations of French gastronomy in the city. There are a number of different speciality shops for you to discover and tips for what to look for, including the five families of French cheeses, the best place to buy saucisson (sausage), and the best way to navigate the shelves of any pâtisserie in Paris. Afterwards, indulge in a picnic-style lunch with the treats you have collected on your food walk and over a glass or two of wine, share your meal while talking more on the subject of French food and culture.

In the afternoon you enjoy a half-day (up to 5 hours) sightseeing tour to Versailles with your private vehicle and guide. You drive out to Versailles to admire the huge palace of the great Sun King Louis XIV, visiting the State Apartments and decorative gardens.

Day 3 - Paris

This morning meet your private vehicle and English-speaking guide for a 4 hours Impressionists sightseeing tour. Visit the Musée de l' Orangerie, which houses Monet's magnificent "Water Lily" paintings. Afterwards go up to the hill of Montmartre where many painters lived and worked and where, today, artists still gather.

This afternoon, under the guidance of your highly experienced perfumer, you learn the skills and secrets behind the assembly and manufacture of perfume. During your workshop, allow yourself to get imaginative as you select your preferred essences and flavours to produce a personalised fragrance. When you have finished, your creation is bottled and presented for you to take home.

Optional:
This evening head outside of Paris to the handsome Chateau du Saussay, a film location for the movie Dangerous Liaisons. Welcomed by the noble descendants of Colbert, the powerful minister of Louis XIV, you discover their historic eighteenth-century château during a personalised tour. Explore the ancestral home, including the magnificent Colbert Library and its landscaped park (weather permitting). Your evening culminates with a candlelit dinner in the formal dining room with the Count and Countess, revelling in the delicious gastronomic cuisine prepared by a renowned chef..

Day 4 - Paris

You are joined by a personal shopper and a private vehicle with driver today for a full-day shopping excursion to the most famous Paris stores. Some of the stores you may visit include Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Maria Luisa (multibrand concept store: Manolo Blahnik, Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano), Stella Cadente, Cacharel, Jey, Lancel Champs Elysees, Mauboussin, Daum! You also receive a discount on purchases in some of the stores visited and a VIP welcome with champagne.

This evening you are privately transferred with your driver from your hotel to Paris's Port Henri IV to enjoy a public 3-hour dinner cruise on the yacht Don Juan II. The City of Light surrounds you as you travel along the Seine in the intimate and warm atmosphere of this truly luxurious yacht. The Don Juan II is evocative of the great pleasure craft era, blending modernism and charm, with its spacious bar and reception room, copper fittings and precious woods. The double ‘Meilleur Ouvrier de France’ chef, Guy Krenzer prepares your gourmet meal, accompanied by fine wines selected by an extremely knowledgeable sommelier. In this exquisite setting, you are transported to another era for an unforgettable dinner cruise. Afterwards, you return to your hotel in the centre of Paris by private transfer.
