Day 2 - Lisbon

Lying north of the Tagus estuary and spread over a string of seven hills, Lisbon has much to offer. Explore the city with your local guide, beginning with a visit to the magnificent 15th-century Jerónimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to the Belém Royal Palace to see the National Coach Museum that showcases a variety of 17th- to 19th-century coaches. Visit Belém Tower, one of Lisbon's most iconic buildings and symbolic of Portugal's great Age of Expansion. Make sure to sample the delicious Pasteis de Belém, traditional custard pastries, while you're in the Belém district.

Day 3 - Lisbon/Sintra/Lisbon

As you explore the city with your guide, stop at the National Palace of Sintra, a former royal residence with a variety of architectural styles and interior decoration.

Alternative option:

Time permitting, you may want to make a stop at Cascais, the fishing village that acts as the resort of Lisbon's jet set, on your return to the capital.
