With its magnificent views into the Northern Frontier District, framed by the Mathews Range and punctuated by the sugar-loaf mountain of Ol Lolokwe which is sacred to the Samburu tribe, Lewa House comprises three family cottages with two en suite bedrooms a piece (Lewa House is especially popular with families) and four 'earth pods'. Described as Gaudi-esque these single room cottages with their outdoor 'star baths' and softly curved taupe shapes have been designed to blend seamlessly with the African landscape that tumbles about them. The main house is an elegant thatched building with an open fireplace and large dining table. You'll gather here in the evenings, with your hosts and other guests, and really feel part of an old Kenya home, to exchange tales of your day over a sundowner and supper.
