Hotel overview
Named after the soaring white sails that crown the property, Sails in the Desert offers a luxurious outback holiday experience at Ayers Rock Resort which is situated in the culturally significant landscape of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The interior of the rooms and suites are exquisitely designed and furnished, while the neutral decor is complemented by Indigenous artwork, artifacts and decorative pieces which is on display throughout. Dining options include the brasserie-style Ilkari Restaurant and the contemporary Walpa Lobby Bar where you can enjoy cocktails and Indigenous-inspired cuisine. When you are not touring, cool off in the sparkling swimming pool lined with lush gumtrees or be lulled into complete relaxation at the Red Ochre Spa. Other facilities available include the resort’s bars and lounges, the Mulgara Art Gallery, shops, and a children's playground. Ayers Rock Resort offers local activities and attractions within the Resort and the Uluru (Ayers Rock) - Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) National Park and over 65 local tours. The real star, of course, is the location, which is truly breath taking.
