Brazil Postpones E-Visa Until 2025
Good news! The Brazilian government has announced they will postpone the implementation of the E-Visa Requirement until April 2025.
This requirement applies to all US, Canadian, and Australian Citizens. The requirement was postponed by the government thanks to the work of the tourism industry to facilitate inbound travel.
Our recommendations:
* For guests who have begun the application and paid, we recommend concluding the application to get the visa. It is valid for up to 10 years.
* For guests that have begun the application but not yet paid, we recommend simply canceling the request.
* For guests traveling after April 2025 to Brazil, we recommend waiting until 30 days prior to their travel date to begin the visa process.
Remember that you can always reach out to us, should you have further questions or concerns of any type.
Brazil on the List of The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2024
Excellent News! Two restaurants in Brazil are on the List of The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2024.
No.27 A Casa do Porco, São Paulo: the quirkily decorated restaurant run by co-chefs Jefferson Rueda and Janaína Torres is found in the heart of downtown São Paulo. Honoring its name which translates as ‘the house of the pig’, A Casa do Porco offers an à la carte and tasting menu that utilizes every part of the animal. On the menu, you’ll find everything from an artisanal selection of charcuterie to cassava crunch and roast pork, a mortadella sandwich with watercress emulsion and pork tartare.
No.37 Oteque, Rio de Janeiro: located in the trendy neighborhood of Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro, the flagship restaurant of chef Alberto Landgraf is a Brazilian temple of seafood. The cozy yet elegant space encourages local and international diners to relax and savor a minimalist but sophisticated tasting menu where the fresh ingredients are the star of the show. A pickled sardine with raw foie gras and brioche, juicy steamed oyster with pork skin and pork spine broth, and a dessert of raw Brazil nut ice cream wow guests.
