Day 1 - Welcome to Sao Paulo
On arrival, your local guide will provide some introductory information about Brazil’s largest city, São Paulo. Enjoy the transfer and some sightseeing along the way until you arrive at your hotel, the Emiliano São Paulo.

A booking reservation was made in your name to dine at the famous D.O.M restaurant. The only two Michelin-star restaurant in Brazil. Dinner reservation is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. (dinner not included). The restaurant is 300mts from Emiliano. Feel free to walk or take a cab. The receptionist will gladly help you.

Day 2 - Meet Wild Jaguars
After breakfast, your guide and driver will bring you to the GRU São Paulo Airport for your local flight to Cuiabá, the gateway to the North Pantanal.

Departure: São Paulo, Brazil on Flight Gol 1420 at 9.50am
Arrival: Cuiabá, Brazil at 11:00am.
In Cuiabá you will take a land transfer to reach the heart of the Pantanal (approximately 5 hours) and where we have found the highest concentration of wild jaguars. Land in either the Porto Jofre or Santana landing strip where our local guide will greet you to begin your Pantanal adventure.
The Jaguar Suites property was designed to offer great quality rooms in the middle of Jaguar land. The suites, which each measure nearly 30 square meters in size and boast floor-to-ceiling windows, are built on a barge that is anchored along the Piquiri river.
After enjoying lunch on the property, everything is set for your first jaguar safari on board the comfortable motor boats.
The Pantanal is South America’s primary wildlife sanctuary and the largest continuous wetland on the planet. With a total area of approximately 150,000 square kilometers (93,205 square miles) and located in the center of the continent, the Pantanal is a biogeographic mixing bowl including 698 bird species, 80 mammals, 260 fish species, and 50 reptiles.
Return by sunset for a cocktail on the sundeck of the jaguar suites. Dinner is served buffet style in the restaurant. Following dinner, the resident naturalist will provide a very insightful and brief lecture on Caimans, one of the main predators of the Pantanal but also a key prey for Jaguars.

Day 3 - North Pantanal - Jaguarland
Spend two days focused on seeing some of the best wildlife in South America and particularly searching for the elusive Jaguar. The excursions take place in comfortable skiffs that meander along the meeting of the waters state park, where Tres Irmãos, Cuiabá, and Piquirí rivers all converge.
At this time of year, you are likely to get one or two jaguar sightings a day! These wild and untamed animals can be active and hunting in the morning and evenings, so keep an eye out for them along the river banks.
You will also see Giant Otters, Caimans, Capybaras, and many other bird species.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided at the main lodge restaurant adjacent to the jaguar suites. After dinner, enjoy a short lecture by an accomplished biologist on local wildlife behavior and conservation.

Day 5 - Explore the Lowlands
Breakfast will be provided at the Jaguar Suites lodge. Enjoy the morning for a final boat excursion to see jaguars.
After your final jaguar safari, we will move to a different part of the Pantanal, considered the lowlands where we have the opportunity to view other unique wildlife of the Pantanal.
From the Jaguar Suites, a 30 min boat ride will take you to Porto Jofre where you will transfer to an air-conditioned vehicle for a safari drive to Fazenda Santa Teresa. The journey along the transpantanal highway covers 82 kilometers (roughly 50 miles) and offers plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. The property offers a number of viewing towers strategically located. The lodge also offers horse rides and hikes along scientifically-designed forest trails, great for viewing primates and monkeys of the Pantanal.
Enjoy lunch at the Santa Teresa lodge. Also, we will get a chance to visit the Jabiru nest observation tower allowing you to witness a family of Jabirus in their nest. This 12-meter tall platform is accessed by a user-friendly spiral staircase. At the top of the tower, you will find the nest only 16 meters away.

Day 6 - Enjoy Piranha Fishing
Enjoy a regional breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, we will take the morning to enjoy the wildlife activities in the area of the Pantanal. The morning is a great opportunity to enjoy piranha fishing along the Pixaim river and get a chance to see some of the great river otters that also enjoy this stretch of the river.
Depending on the weather and wildlife conditions, enjoy a wildlife safari on foot, 4x4, or horseback.
We will stop at the various viewing towers along the way.
Enjoy lunch at Fazenda Santa Teresa. After lunch and a short rest, transfer back to Cuiabá, the capital of Mato Grosso State.
Dinner will be at Mahalo Cozinha creative, a unique contemporary restaurant that elevates the common Brazilian flavors to a fine dining experience that is sure to please the tastebuds of any culinary enthusiasts. In Brazil, “Mahalo” is all about the liveliness and joy of chef Ariani Malouf, known for her unique style and creative cuisine. Day 7 - Welcome to Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast at the Gran Odara in Cuiaba.
Transfer to your direct flight to Rio de Janeiro. On arrival, your local guide will provide some introductory information about the Marvelous City of Rio de Janeiro. You will see the famous Tijuca Rainforest that hosts the Christ Redeemer statue.
Your evening is at leisure.

Day 8 - Sugar Loaf
Enjoy a tropical breakfast at the Copacabana Palace Pergula.
Enjoy a half-day private excursion, with a deluxe vehicle and professional English-speaking guide to Sugar Loaf Mountain. After being picked up from your hotel, enjoy a scenic drive to Praia Vermelha, in the Urca neighborhood of Rio.
To reach the Sugar Loaf peak, ride a cable car to the top of Urca Hill to the gardens and lookout points over Guanabara Bay, where you can appreciate Rio’s unique landscape. Afterwards, take a second cable to the Sugar Loaf peak, nearly 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level. The views of the beaches, the Bay, the hills, and the harbor are breathtaking from this vantage point.
After your excursion return to you your hotel where the rest of your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities. You may also want to enjoy an afternoon walk along the famous Copacabana beach or the Copacabana Forte.

Day 9 - Corcovado Tour
Enjoy a tropical breakfast at the Copacabana Palace Pergula Restaurant.
Meet your local guide at the hotel and enjoy a scenic drive past the popular beaches of Rio to the foothills of the Tijuca National Forest. From the Cosme Velho, a traditional neighborhood in the Southern part of Rio de Janeiro, join the cog-wheel train that makes the steep climb to the summit of Corcovado Mountain, through the Atlantic rainforest.
The view of Rio from Corcovado Mountain is world famous, providing a panoramic view of Rio`s mountains, rainforest, coastline, and unique natural composition that is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site. The peak of Corcovado Mountain is more than 700 meters (2,300 feet) above sea level and is crowned by the 30-meter (100-foot) high statue of Christ the Redeemer. Just beneath the statue sits a chapel in honor of the Lady of Aparecida, the patron Saint of Brazil.
The drive back to the hotel provides a great view of the Maracanã stadium and the Sambodromo, the venue that hosts the annual Carnival parade competition. The routing of this tour can be tailored to meet your preferences and to accommodate traffic and weather conditions.
After your excursion returns back to you your hotel where the rest of your afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities. You may also want to enjoy an afternoon walk along the Ipanema beach where you can witness the unique sport of foot-volley, played on beach volleyball courts payers use every body part to play, but their hands!

Day 10 - Departure

Your local guide will provide a transfer to the airport where you will embark on your return journey home.
