Bogotá

Caribbean Coast, Barú
The Barú Peninsula is a coastal area located in the south and 45 minutes by boat from Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, famous for the white sand and turquoise water. Nearby there are mangroves, water mirrors, and underwater gardens. Barú has various beaches, but the most outstanding are Playa Blanca, Cholón, Agua Azul, and Agua Tranquila. Perfect for water sports, such as kayak, kitesurf, snorkeling, and a ride on a jet ski. The water is warm and the visibility very good, all year round. This paradise island has one of the most relevant environmental attractions in Colombia, the National Aviary. There you can take a tour of three ecosystems - tropical rainforest, coastal area, and desert - where you can see 170 species of birds. One of the little-known but at the same time, most charming activities that you can do in Barú is the luminescent plankton tour. These small marine organisms appear at night in Puerto Naito.
Medellín
Medellin, the second largest city in Colombia, is a beautiful city located in a valley surrounded by mountains and stunning landscapes. Medellin is home to lovely parks and gardens, including the Botanical Gardens, and miles of hiking trails in Arvi Park. You can even see Scarlet Macaws, Iguanas, and even wild monkeys within the city itself.
