Day 1 - Welcome to Costa Rica
Arrive in Juan Santamaría International Airport. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you are welcomed by a Guide who will accompany you to the hotel and will deliver your travel documents and explain all important things about your trip through Costa Rica. Welcome to Costa Rica!
San José capital of Costa Rica proudly sits in the Central Valley and is the one and true heart of all political and economical interactions of Costa Rica’s contemporary society. The land in the valley is relatively plain, despite being surrounded by several mountains and volcanoes, and the central mountain range.

Day 2 - Wine and Costa Rica!
After breakfast, meet your Guide and Driver at the hotel lobby to commence your half day tour where you will be able to see one of the plantations and learn about the process of white and red wine and taste different kinds of wine, as well as liquor from the goldenberry where you can see the plantation, taste the fruit, learn about the liquor process and taste it in two different presentations. In the afternoon, return to the hotel in San Jose.

Day 3 - Costa Rica by Night
This morning meet your Guide and Driver at the hotel reception. After a briefing you will begin your unforgettable experience in this small but warm country and continue your journey to the village of La Fortuna.
On arrival, you can relax to the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy the variety of restaurants, a wide range of activities are available and the exceptional staff will do their best to give you an intimate and authentic experience, all in all a place of breathtaking natural beauty.
A special tour in the dark awaits you tonight. Experience Arenal's only wild frog sanctuary at night, when colourful tree frogs and other rainforest wildlife are most active and easy to observe. The night tour continues past the frog ponds on flat trails through the noisy night rainforest. The guide will point out animals that are hiding from you.
As you travel into the northern lowlands of Costa Rica, you approach one of the country's volcanic attractions, the impressive Arenal Volcano. On a clear day you may be able to see this almost perfect cone from afar.

Day 4 - Natural Costa Rica: Sloths and Hanging Bridges
Your departure today is very early at 06:00 to take the sloth tour with your Guide. The Arenal area is well known for its diverse wildlife, including the two different species of sloths found in Costa Rica. During this tour the main goal is to find as many sloths as possible and you are 100% guaranteed to see sloths in the wild.
In the afternoon, have you ever seen nature from above? The bridges take you over a private nature reserve of about 250 hectares of rainforest. A special adventure awaits you today, experience the forest from a bird's eye view on suspension bridges. Choose the length of your walk with your guide and learn about the tropical forest ecosystem. Later you will visit a viewpoint with the best views of the Arenal volcano and the lake below. Of course, you will need a bit of luck with the weather to get the volcano in front of your lens.

Day 5 - Arenal Viewpoint
Your adventure begins in the morning. Enjoy a two and a half hours volcano hike along the base of the Arenal Volcano in the Arenal 1968 Park. The trail will take you to the 1968 lava flows, areas that are now regeneration, and over rocky areas. Feel the power and serenity of nature and enjoy amazing views, admire the local flora and fauna and with a bit of luck, observe a variety of tropical birds and other animals. A special picnic is included. After your excursion return back to your hotel where the rest of your afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 6 - Off to Tenorio
This morning, after the breakfast at the hotel, meet your Guide and Driver to continue to Tenorio, known for it's National Park with its legendary Rio Celeste. Upon arrival at the hotel your Guide will assist you with check-in.
Your package includes some experiences onsite, please note that these activities are shared, so there will be more guests joining the activities with you.
The activities you can choose are: Night Nature Walk, Birdwatching Tour, Medicinal Plants Tour, Farm Tour, Horseback Riding, Oro Waterfall Hike, Lagoon Fishing and Yoga and Meditation.
Located in northern Costa Rica, the Tenorio Volcano National Park is one of the country's youngest parks. Taking its name from the Tenorio Volcano, this national park boasts stunning river views and plenty of opportunities for wildlife adventures. The park features four different life zones as well as the beautiful aqua-hued Rio Celeste.

Day 7 - Exploring the Tenorio Volcano National Park
After breakfast in the morning, continue with your Guide towards the Tenorio National Park and its Río Celeste that is one of the most beautiful jewels in the country. Enjoy the beautiful view!
Thanks to its close-to-perfect location and weather conditions, the Tenorio Volcano National Park serves as a natural boundary for trade winds coming from the Northwest. Today you visit the Celeste River on the northeastern side of the volcano. Its river is well-known for its light blue colouring, a result of certain minerals mixing in its waters. Inside the national park, you can also find a magnificent waterfall, bubbling hot springs, and “Los Teñideros”, the part of the river where the water suddenly changes from crystalline to celestial. Mud pots and fumaroles can also be admired here. Virgin rain and cloud forest extend to the summit of the impressing Tenorio.
In the afternoon, upon returning to the hotel you will have free time to join the different activities choosed in the lodge or simply relax in the hotel facilities.

Day 8 - Off to Papagayo
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then meet your Guide and Driver in the hotel lobby to continue to the Golf of Papagayo in Guanacaste. En route, enjoy a boat tour and lunch, put your cameras away for a moment and get ready to head beyond the hills into a new world of exotic experiences. The forest road will take you on an enchanting journey among hidden trails and enticing rivers. See an incredible number of tropical species such as the rose-coloured spoonbill or the mythical Jabiru stork. And for the youngest explorers, the trip may offer unique opportunities to see reptiles such as crocodiles or the always expected white-throated capuchin monkeys.
Upon arrival at the hotel in Papagayo, your Guide will help you with the check-in and then say goodbye, so you can enjoy the next few days on the beach on your own.
Papagayo is a beach resort, the area takes its name from the stunning gulf that borders the beach. The result is a secluded Papagayo with many amenities in a completely natural setting. Welcome to the spectacularly beautiful Gulf of Papagayo.

Day 10 - Alajuela is Calling
After checking out of your hotel, you are met by a local driver and transferred to Guanacaste Airport in time for your private local flight to San Jose.
Upon arrival at San Jose meet your driver to transfer you to the hotel in Alajuela.
Alajuela as the second largest province in Costa Rica is home to a vast variety of both man-made and natural attractions. The province is the site of one of the most pristine mountain ranges, the Cordillera Central range, in addition to several volcanic national parks. Travelers seeking a cultural experience will also enjoy this region, as it is home to Alajuela, a laid-back metro area located just outside of San Jose. Sitting on a gentle slope, Alajuela is also slightly warmer and smaller than the neighboring capital.

Day 11 - So Long, and Pura Vida!
Enjoy your last Costa Rican breakfast at the hotel. Your day is at leisure until your transfer time to the airport for your departure flight.
