Hotel overview
Located just 9 kilometres southeast of Otavalo and close to the shores of the Lago de San Pablo, Hacienda Cusín dates back to the 17th century. The Hacienda offers individually decorated rooms, suites, and cottages located in over 7 acres of gardens which are home to more than 50 species of bird. There are various activities on offer, including hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, squash, basketball and volleyball. The complex also offers excellent facilities for weddings and conferences (the estate has hosted conferences for U.N. delegates from Geneva).
Types of Rooms
As is characteristic of haciendas, room type and size varies significantly from one suite to another. All rooms are tastefully and individually decorated with fine furniture.
Owner's Suite
The most luxurious choice at Cusín, the Owner's Suite is furnished with antiques and offers a king bed, private patio, open fireplace, library and television/VCR (note other rooms do not have televisions).
Main House
Rooms in the main house are available for single (queen bed), twin or double (king bed) use. Options to choose from include balconies, patios, mountain views, garden views, and open fireplaces. One 3-room suite (triple use) with balcony and study is available.
Garden Cottage Rooms
6 Garden Cottage Rooms offer a variety of features to choose from, including living areas, private rooftop patios, fireplaces, gardens, and beamed ceilings.
Garden Rooms
A variety of rooms to choose from, many of which are in the separate 'El Monasterio' complex and command lovely views of the complex's cobblestone courtyard and fountain.
