Day 1 - Arrive Borneo

Upon arrival at the airport in Borneo, transfer directly to your cruise boat at the port of Kumai. Your home for the next two night, this comfortable river vessel is converted from a traditional klotok (wooden riverboat) and offers amazing views of the rainforest from upper deck. The air-conditioned en suite cabins are located below deck and Asian fusion meals are served during the journey. En route to the Tanjung Puting National Park, make a stop at Tanjung Harapan, a rehabilitation center for orangutans. Walk through the forest to the viewing platforms where you can witness feeding time at 15:00. In the peaceful late afternoon, continue on your slow journey on the quiet river, observing proboscis monkeys and possibly fireflies amid the nipa palms along the riverside. Enjoy dinner on board followed by a leisurely night on the river.

Day 2 - Borneo

Enjoy an early breakfast as the klotok cruises up the river for about two hours. Look out for wildlife in the forested riversides while heading towards Pondok Tanggui, a rehabilitation center for recently rescued orangutans. Take a walk along the boardwalks to discover the wild orangutan feeding area in the forest. Observe the orangutans swinging through the treetops as they hear the call of the rangers. Continue on your forest walk to spot more orangutans in their natural habitat. Return to your klotok for lunch and continue cruising upstream. Admire the animal and bird life along the way. Stop for an evening walk in the forest to observe the nocturnal creatures of the forest followed by dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3 - Depart Borneo

Your rainforest cruise continues as you travel slowly downstream, observing more amazing wildlife. Depending on your flight time, you may revisit Pondok Tanggui or continue cruising while enjoying lunch on board. After lunch, you arrive back at Kumai port where a driver is waiting to transport you to Pangkalan Bun Airport.
