Q: What makes Rayavadee extra special compared to other properties?

A: Rayavadee stands out for its profound appreciation of the natural environment, seamlessly integrated with the unique design of its pavilion rooms interspersed with a variety of native plants. The rooms are designed to fit in with the original coconut plantation, which has a checkerboard-like planting pattern arranged in an orderly and harmonious manner. Being close to nature also benefits us from being able to live together with local wildlife such as spectacled langurs, macaques and hornbills. Another outstanding feature is the location of the hotel. It has an area covering three beaches — Nam Mao Beach, Phra Nang Beach and Railay Beach. In addition, our area at the end of Laem Phra Nang Beach is perfectly flanked by stalagmites and stalactites.

Q: What distinctive services and amenities does Rayavadee offer?

A: We have implemented excellent service program by our “Tonhong Team.” Tonhong is a Thai tradition which means a trusted personal assistant whose responsibility is to serve the royal family; or a trusted servant who has the keys to the rooms and the treasure or a servant of the King. A: Krabi is blessed with a warm and pleasant climate, with the air and sea temperature usually hovering around a perfect 28°C (82.4°F) all year round. From November through April, the weather is usually dry and cool, while from May to October, you can expect more frequent rain showers that color the jungle and surrounding mountains with a lovely palette of green.

A: The resort’s structures draw inspiration from local design precepts in an organic relationship with the surroundings. Our two-story design was inspired by traditional Thai architecture of Southern Thailand. The first level of the pavilion, consisting of a living space and a pantry, is linked by a wooden spiral staircase to a sumptuous bedroom with an attached bathroom. The external wall finishes are wood substitution panels made of composite fiberglass and cement materials in a warm yellow color. Industrialized wood products have been extensively used to conserve endangered hardwoods. The roof-form evokes associations with oriental structures in subtle ways. At night, the lighting around the meandering footpaths and the silhouette of the buildings’ forms are reminiscent of a tropical garden.
