As our countries here in Southeast Asia slowly begin to re-open, we, as your partner on the ground, are here to keep you informed. We have Country by Country Updates below so you can keep up with the latest news. Regionally, our countries here have managed to keep COVID-19 cases low, ranking among the top in the world in terms of COVID-19 recovery, with Thailand (#3) and Vietnam (#15) recognized in the Global COVID-19 Index (GCI). Looking ahead, we offer a brief snapshot of what is trending for future travel in Southeast Asia. In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Trends in Future Travel in Southeast Asia
Private yachts, island stays, exclusive villas – discover our Top 5 trending inquiries, including where to get a COVID-19 antibody test at a wellness retreat.
Premium Yacht Journeys
Escape to your own little world on a private chartered yacht where tropical cocktails and gourmet meals are served by a dedicated on-board crew while you spend sun-filled days hiking jungle-covered islands, kayaking in open seas and swimming with manta rays. From small, cozy cruisers to premium superyachts and traditional phinisi schooners, our curated selection of yachts explore the magnificent islands and coral reefs of Indonesia, Thailand and Myanmar – perfect for honeymoon couples, small groups and extended families.
Extended Beach and Island Escapes
For rest and relaxation away from the crowds, Southeast Asia is the perfect remedy. From Thailand’s Phang Nga Bay to the remote Cambodian Riviera and the quiet shores of Vietnam’s Con Dao island, there are plenty of opportunities to soak up the sun, sand and sea. Dolphins, sea turtles and other colorful marine life have returned in abundance over the last few months, making these destinations even more enticing to visit.
Private Jet and Exclusive Villa Stays
Experience Southeast Asia in your own private jet while dedicated butlers and in-villa chefs ensure you get the most out of your stay. Ask about our personally tailored touring including exclusive stays at our handpicked selection of resorts and private villas, where you could walk through private gardens, ponds and rice fields at Pa Sak Tong Estate in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand or stay at a chic and exclusive beach house conceived by the world’s top designers at Iniala, on a quiet beach near Phuket.
Nature and the Great Outdoors
Venture into the wild jungles of Cambodia for a luxury tented camp experience or trek the lush mountains and terraced rice fields of Vietnam’s northern highlands. Just two hours’ drive from Sihanoukville or one hour by helicopter from Phnom Penh, Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild offers a remote back to nature escape that comes with personal butler service, unlimited spa treatments and immersive jungle activities, while Topas Ecolodge amid the mountains of Sapa, Vietnam is one of our favorite rustic stays with picture-postcard views of remote hill tribe life and culture.
Wellness Retreats
Reconnect and find your inner peace with holistic wellness experiences across the region. Learn some new aerial yoga moves or discover native flora and fauna on a jungle trek on a remote Cambodian island or meditate in a cave, receive a blessing at a pagoda or learn how to make your own herbal scrubs, wraps and essential oils using age-old Southeast Asian healing wisdom. Or, experience curative therapies at Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand where peace of mind comes with on-site COVID-19 rapid testing (antibody test) and a 24-hour medical team on standby.
